Shakespeare

Written around 1600–1601 and first printed in 1603, Hamlet is Shakespeare's longest play and generally regarded as his greatest. Prince Hamlet, commanded by his father's ghost to avenge his uncle's usurping murder, delays through a tormented examination of action, mortality, and the knowability of other minds. The play is the most performed, translated, and interpreted work in world theater.
